Ingredients

6 Corn tortillas cut into strips

1 Chopped onion

2 Minced garlic cloves

1 Chopped jalapeño chili

1 can of Crushed tomatoes

1 liter of Chicken broth

1 Sliced avocado

100 grams of Grated cheese

Chopped cilantro

Olive oil

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : In a skillet, heat some olive oil and fry the tortilla strips until crispy.

Step 2 : Be sure to reserve them on paper towels.

Step 3 : In the same skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and jalapeño until tender.

Step 4 : Add the crushed tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.

Step 5 : Then, add the chicken broth and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6 : Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 7 : To serve the soup, ladle into deep bowls and garnish with tortilla strips, avocado strips, grated cheese, and chopped cilantro.

Step 8 : Enjoy this delicious hot tortilla soup.
