Ingredients

1 kilogram of Peeled and seedless tomatoes

2 cans of Whole tomatoes

2 cups of Chopped onion

4 Crushed garlic cloves

½ cup of Olive oil

2 tablespoons of Butter

1 cup of Fresh basil leaves

4 cups of Chicken broth

1 tablespoon of Salt

3 tablespoons of Sugar

1 ½ teaspoon of Black pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : In a pot, melt the butter and add the oil.

Step 2 : Proceed to sauté the onions and garlic.

Step 3 : Then add the halved chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 4 : Next, add the canned tomatoes with their juice, basil, and chicken broth.

Step 5 : Add the sugar, salt, and pepper, and let cook for 20 minutes over medium heat.

Step 6 : Once ready, remove from heat and place in a processor to blend.

Step 7 : The sauce can be served hot or cold, accompanied by bread.
