20 grams of Flour for dusting

200 grams of Red cherries

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious mamallena, start by preheating the oven to 180°C.

Step 2 : Then, in a blender, combine the evaporated milk, cream, eggs, sugar, and vanilla, and process for 1 minute before setting aside the mixture.

Step 3 : Next, cut the bread into small pieces and place it in a large bowl.

Step 4 : Add the liquid mixture, cinnamon, and nutmeg, mix well, and let soak for 15 minutes.

Step 5 : Then, grease the baking dish with butter and dust with flour.

Step 6 : Pour the soaked bread mixture into the dish, add the cherries, reduce the oven temperature to 150°C, and bake the mamallena for an hour and a half.

Step 7 : Once the baking time is up, check if it's ready by piercing the center of the mamallena with a skewer.

Step 9 : Then, unmold the mamallena, cut into squares, decorate with a chocolate ball, and it’s ready to serve.
