Ingredients

1 ½ pound of Stale bread

1 can of Evaporated milk

400 grams of Heavy cream or whole milk

1 can of Condensed milk

4 Large eggs

1 cup of Rum-soaked raisins

1 tablespoon of Vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of Ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon of Nutmeg

Chocolate chips for decoration

Preparation

Step 1 : In a bowl, add the eggs and beat with a hand whisk.

Step 2 : Then, incorporate the evaporated milk, cream, condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.

Step 3 : This mixture is set aside.

Step 4 : In another bowl, place the bread pieces and pour the milk mixture over them.

Step 5 : Sprinkle the raisins and mix everything very well to incorporate.

Step 6 : Let it rest for 15 minutes so the bread becomes moist.

Step 7 : Next, pour the preparation into a heatproof dish and bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 45 to 60 minutes.

Step 8 : To check if it's ready, insert a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the dessert is cooked.

Step 9 : Allow to cool completely before unmolding and cutting into squares.

Step 10 : It can be served decorated with cherries or pieces of chocolate.
