Ropa Vieja Beef
Ingredients
600 grams of Beef flank steak
1 Onion and half
¼ Green chili pepper
6 Garlic cloves
1 pinch of Ground cumin
1 pinch of Dried oregano
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
3 tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil
½ Medium green chili pepper
½ Medium red chili pepper
½ Medium yellow chili pepper
1 can of Tomato sauce
1 cup of Dry wine
1 pinch of Sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare this delicious shredded beef with vegetables, start by slicing the onion into rings and the peppers (green, yellow, red) into strips.
Step 2 : Next, chop 4 garlic cloves.
Step 3 : Cut the beef into 4 similar pieces and place them in a pot along with the sliced half onion, chopped peppers, and garlic.
Step 4 : Cover with water and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
Step 5 : Once the time has elapsed, remove the beef from the broth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Step 6 : Shred the beef and add cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste.
Step 7 : In a skillet with hot oil, add the crushed garlic, seasoned beef, and the rest of the ingredients.
Step 8 : Mix well and cover the skillet.
Step 9 : Cook for an additional 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
