Rice with Pigeon Pea and Panamanian Chorizo
Ingredients
4 Panamanian chorizo
3 Garlics
1 Red chili pepper
5 Cilantro leaves
1 cup of Rice
1 pinch of Salt
Achiote powder
Oregano
1 can of Pigeon pea
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : The chorizos are diced into small cubes.
Step 2 : In a skillet with a tablespoon of oil and a little achiote powder, sauté the chorizos until golden.
Step 3 : Once golden, add the chopped vegetables and stir well.
Step 4 : Add a can of pigeon peas without the water and season with salt.
Step 5 : Stir again and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Step 6 : When the pigeon peas are golden, add the rice and sprinkle with pepper and oregano.
Step 7 : Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Step 8 : After this time, the rice will be ready.
