Rice with Guandú to Panamanian Style
Ingredients
1 cup of Guandú fresh
1 cup of Rice
1 tablespoon of Vegetable oil
3 Cilantro leaves
2 cups of Water or chicken broth
2 Garlic clove
A pinch of cumin
½ teaspoon of Goya seasoning
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot or pan, add the Guandú and sauté over low heat with oil.
Step 2 : Then, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until the onion is tender.
Step 3 : Next, add the mashed garlic, cilantro, washed rice, and seasonings: Goya, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Step 4 : Mix everything well and add the water or chicken broth.
Step 5 : Bring to a boil over medium heat and, once the liquid starts to dry, reduce the heat and cover the pot.
Step 6 : Cook for approximately 20 to 35 minutes, until the rice is cooked and the Guandú beans are tender.
Step 7 : Finally, serve and enjoy this delicious dish.
