Chicken Sautéed

Although this dish is not as popular as Ropa Vieja, Panamanian Sancocho, Ceviche, Hojaldra, or Guacho, the sautéed chicken is part of the rich gastronomy of this beautiful country.

This preparation, although not as well known, holds a special significance in Panamanian cuisine.

Ingredients

8 Pieces of chicken

2 Large onions

4 Potatoes

2 teaspoons of Chicken broth powder

Oil

Water

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : In a skillet, place oil and heat.

Step 2 : Once the oil is hot, add the pieces of chicken and brown them on both sides.

Step 3 : After the chicken is browned, add the potatoes and sliced large onions, along with salt, pepper, chicken broth powder, and cumin to taste.

Step 4 : Add half a cup of water, cover, and let cook over low heat for about 40 minutes or until the chicken is well cooked.
