Ingredients

1 Beef tongue

1 Lemon

5 cups of Water

1 Onion

2 Garlic cloves

1 Red bell pepper

1 pinch of Salt

Black pepper

Oil

2 Tomatoes

1 Green bell pepper

2 Garlic cloves

Tomato sauce

Ketchup

½ cup of Moscatel wine

20 Capers

10 Olives

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this dish, start by rubbing the tongue with lemon and rinsing it with water.

Step 2 : Then, place the tongue in a pot with water and bring to a boil.

Step 3 : Once boiled, turn off the heat, let it cool, and remove the tongue from the pot to scrape it with a knife.

Step 4 : Next, in another pot, place water along with the tongue, halved onion, chopped garlic, chopped peppers, salt, pepper, oil, tomato sauce, and moscatel wine.

Step 5 : Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes.

Step 6 : After this time, turn off the heat and let the dish rest.

Step 7 : Finally, serve the tongue accompanied by capers, olives, and a touch of ketchup.
