Ron Ponche
Ingredients
1 can of Cream
2 cups of Water
1 can of Condensed milk
½ cup of Cornstarch
1 teaspoon of Salt
½ Bottle of rum
12 Egg yolks
½ teaspoon of Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, mix the cream, condensed milk, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
Step 2 : Add ½ cup of water and stir well, then place over low heat.
Step 3 : When the mixture is very hot, add the beaten egg yolks dissolved in ¼ cup of water and the cornstarch dissolved in ½ cup of water.
Step 4 : Place the mixture in a double boiler and stir until thickened to your liking.
Step 5 : Cook for 20 minutes without stopping to stir.
Step 6 : Once ready, let it cool and add the ½ bottle of rum.
