Ingredients

½ kilogram of Hibiscus calyces or jamaica flower

4 Lemons

2 liters of Water

10 grams of Ginger

2 cups of Sugar

Preparation

Step 1 : Clean and wash the hibiscus carefully, removing seeds and reserving the flowers.

Step 2 : In a saucepan, place the hibiscus flowers along with ginger pieces and water.

Step 3 : Bring the saucepan to the heat and let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 4 : Strain the mixture through a fine sieve and add lemon juice and sugar to taste.

Step 5 : Let it cool and store in the refrigerator until well chilled.

Step 6 : Serve and enjoy cold.
