Chard Rolls with Chickpeas
Ingredients
8 Chard leaves
1 cup of Cooked chickpeas
1 Chopped onion
2 Minced garlic cloves
1 can of Crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon of Ground cumin
1 teaspoon of Sweet paprika
Olive oil
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : The recipe begins by washing the chard leaves and removing the tough stems.
Step 2 : Then, heat a little olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
Step 3 : Next, add the cooked chickpeas to the skillet and sauté for a few minutes.
Step 4 : Afterward, add the crushed tomatoes, ground cumin, and sweet paprika, cooking over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 5 : Then, place a spoonful of the chickpea and tomato sauce mixture onto each chard leaf and roll it up.
Step 6 : Arrange the rolls on a baking tray and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 15 minutes.
Step 7 : Finally, serve the hot chard rolls with chickpeas and tomato sauce.
